Interesting small spike in the AMC market in the past few months, same thing
we saw in 1988-90, no big deal. For those of you who get easily excited
thinking AMCs are getting expensive and prices rising, please keep it all in
perspective. For instance the only known Matador Machine just sold for $25K.
It was a $50K+ restoration one a one of one car. A Big Bad Green 69 AMX sold
for $57K. It was one of probably the top ten AMCs in the nation. A pair of
chickens sold for $151K. Yes, fowl smelling foul sold for more than anything
AMC I can think of:

So don't get too excited. There are still thousands of cars needing homes.
And while some prices have went up, others are stagnant. Only a select few
cars, those that are usually concourse/museum type restored, fetch what some
like to call 'big bucks'. Still, you don't like to see a $50K restoration on
a one of a kind AMC sell for 1/2 of what the owner had poured into in, in
