Some notable sales and no sales recently, the 70 Rebel Machine with 8K
original miles shot up to $35K on ebay and 'sold' but high bidder walked
away from it claiming paint was not original. 70 AMX sold for $18K in
auction. On the other side of the coin in this continuing depressed economy
noting much has changed, still a flood of vehicles, AMC and others, on the
market. So choose wisely obi-wan with your money. Same principals apply now
that applied in the 1980s: rustfree, originality, low miles, unusual colors,
unusual options and drivetrain combos, low production or first/last of it's
kind. The bargains are still out there and AMC is one of the biggest bangs,
always has been, for the buck. Watch for Hemming's Muscle 1971-74 AMX
article in Mar/Apr 04 issue I helped out on, which also deals with
production, markets, and survivors, feature car will be a Pierre Cardin AMX!
As usual, take your time, do not impulse buy, know
your codes/VINs/numbers (many can be found under "parts" file on my website

paint, tires, limosine tint, carb, starter, solenoid, fuel pump, AMC AM/FM
