 Hi, I have a 1970 AMX originally from Ca. with matching 390 4sp set up. This car is so correct it still has orig date coded spark plug wires, orig 3 ribbed heater hoses orig carb and tag, engine tag and valve covers. If you are looking for a 70 AMX that needs restoring this is the car. Orig bittersweet orange with saddle vinyl int, tilt collum. This car has under 60K and runs. I have been running it out of a plastic jug as the car sat for 25+ years and gas tank will need to be cleaned out. Disc brakes, electric wipers,Ca. gas tank with vent into valve cover, all good glass with a super solid body. It has dents and will need paint. Right lower rear quarter has damage from a blown tire and the steel belt slapping the quarter. trunk, floors rockers,and gussets are mint. All seams on doors, trunk are mint.I also have clean Ca. title and the orig owner I.D card. I'm in the process of taking this Spirit apart. If anyone is intrested in any of the parts let me know. Here's what's left: Doors Right Fender Hood Gate with glass Windshield and quarter glass Dashboard Tail lights Wheel lip mouldings, belt mouldings, windshield reveal moulding I could even cut off the quarters if you need them. They are in good shape, probably best part of the car. 151 4 banger with 50,000 miles. Runs well. Feul tank is rusty on the outside, but does not leak. 1972 AMC Hornet Sportabout X, 258 six, automatic, air (disconnected), butterscotch gold color with dark tan interior, rally wheels, sport steering wheel. Heavy duty cooling (3 core V-8 radiator), later model power front disc brakes. The previous owner removed the original 1 barrel stuff and replaced it with 2 barrel items. I have the 1 barrel manifold and carb. I bought the car 2 years ago out of L.A. California. It was in L.A. all of it's life and I have the documentation to back it up along with some very detailed records from the original owner. This car has never been rusted or wrecked. It was painted about 7 years ago. The X stripe was not replaced. The body and interior are in amazing condition and the vehicle is near original. You will not be disappointed. There were not many 72 Sportabout X models made and not many left. All I have done with the car is show it on cruise nights in different Chicago suburbs throughout the summer. In the mid 60's AMC dealers installed after market AC units. Most used Mark IV Monitor units. I need some none mechanical parts for one of these units evaporator. For Sale 1966 American Convertible project, moving, must sell! Every corner has been replaced - both front fenders and both rear quarters - as well as floor pans, front and back. The hood has been replaced. All metal is rust-free and either in primer or in the original ""Robin's Egg Blue"" or in the new, Lexus “Teal”. All that remains is final sanding and paint - and I am even including the paint. If you can tell from the photos, you can see the quality of the work in the finished engine compartment and front panels. The paint is a pretty '94 Lexus color - 4745 PPG Teal Mist Poly. The included paint is enough for the whole car. The transmission was rebuilt back when I was driving the car, about 3,000 miles ago. The engine is a low-mileage 258 (50,000) from a 1980 Hornet, again beautifully detailed, with MSD ignition. New brake and fuel lines. New front suspension. New upholstery (done in Boston). Near new top. All the pieces are there and carefully packaged in Rubberneck bins or cardboard tubes. Both bumpers are included, one is straight and ready to re-chrome, the second is rebuildable. Even the complete factory TSM (Technical Service Manual) is included to simplify assembly. I drove the car off the trailer 8 years ago. It has remained there, in a heated garage, since. I am sorry I cannot remember the company since the St. Louis Wheel Store facilitated the work.  Howdy Fellow AMCer's!!! Been awhile since I posted. Anyway, I left my Pops junkyard for a few months and when I came back he had aquired a 1965 Marlin! It is a bucket seat/console car with a 327 4brrl engine. Unfortunitly it is a automatic-not the twin stick I was hoping for. The car is fairly complete. Rear end is out of the car, but cramed, or.. I mean.. GENTLY place inside the car. It appears that there is no back seat and a door panel or two are missing. There are two ""spiner"" Marlin hubcaps and two ""spiner"" rambler hub caps that came with this car. I've seen the Rambler ones, but never seen the Marlin ""spiner"" caps before. 82 Spirit Drag car for sale! SOme of you may not know but my friend Bill passed away in December. We had taken the engine out of his car to freshen it and it made it to the machine shop in pieces and then he died. It has been tough on me cause he was like a father to me. I have finished the engine new bearings and new rings, hone line bore everything done perfect. Built at Carlquist Competition Engines. Last year the car ran 10.3 sec in the 1/4 at 13X? MPH have to look at time slips again. HP is over 600. Indy heads, Indy intake, Dominator, You get the idea.. The car runs on C14 race gas, has full MSD 7 al 3 ignition, delay box, 8 inch matching TCT converter, new freshened 727 with transbrake. Big Bad Repro Mldg. Finally got the first run of BB mldgs. done. For now we changed the stud design a little. We could not find a vendor with the correct studs for welding so we used a 3M epoxy instead that actually might be better in the long run as thats what always seemed to break was the weld on studs. This product is actually stronger than a weld. You will notice a little bit of the epoxy around each stud. This does not interfere with fit as the holes in bumper are slightly larger than the stud plus we made the return lip just like the originals. Each one has been test fit and slightly polished. We did not polish these to a show finish as the originals had a little bit of the grain left in them to match the stainless on the rest of the car. If you want them show polished this can be done for an up-charge. The price worked out to be $348.44 on this design including the nuts and washers for the studs plus shipping. 1974 Javelin AMX I ordered from the factory. I still have the window sticker, sales paper work and receipts for parts and work done. The car has been in a container for about 25 years. I did take it out last year to clean the car, change out the fluids, replace parts due to age. I did run the engine briefly. Pacer Parts: I am in need of the AC/Heater wiring for a 75 Pacer. I need the harness that runs from the dash switch over to the blower motor, relay etc. I would also like to find some original screws that attach all of the dash components and dash. FYI I just wanted to let the AMC world know that today July 23, 2010, I had to dispose of what was left (and believe me there was hardly anything left)of a 1970 AMX originally from WNY. The Bayshore Blue with Blue vinyl int. was a 390 4spd Go pac car. Sad is it is, there can only be as many as 4115 left out there.
