For sale: Rambler 327 engine, good running completely stock 270 hp version. Includes everything from air cleaner to pan and fan to bell housing with factory Holley 4 barrel carb, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, exhaust manifolds, alternator, power steering pump, starter, air conditioning compressor, all accessory mounts, and engine mount plates. Removed from a 1965 Classic. The engine has 135 pounds compresion on every cylinder which was measured in Utah. This would be about 160 pounds of compression at sea level. It holds an even and steady 15 pounds of vaccumm at idle. It does have some smoke out the exhaust when it is first started which is probably the value seals and/or guides. It runs quite and smooth and is very powerful. It was removed to install a 401. Not included is the throttle linkage, clutch linkage/fork, and throwout/pilot bearings. SC/Rambler project. This is a rough car but well worth saving. I have almost all of the sc specific parts except for the shifter and wheels. The car has some rust issues but I have sheet metal for the repairs and then some. $9800. I also have a brake/clutch pedal from a 66 American 440 if some one is building a clone. $90. I have some extra 69 rambler emblems for the car also. One I bought as NOS but I do not think it is, It is as nice as the one I have that I know is NOS however. Hi there. I checked out a guys yard and he has a lot of Americans and other AMCs for sale. As far as I know he has 3 or 4 coupes. Afew 4drs and 2 wagons. All are around 1965. They have been sitting for 15-20 years and have rust around the edges. He usually wants around $200 per car. He also has 2 Pacer wagons. One is a southern car that has sat too long and the other is more intact. He also has 2 '80 or so Eagles parts cars. Hello and thanks for looking. I am listing this for a woman that contacted the SNAMC Car Club I belong to. It was her fathers but he has long passed away and it has been sitting in the garage since 1991. This car - 1964 Rambler American 440 Wagon flat head six with manual trans was licensed and driven daily by her father until he got sick in 1991. She said it had been driven to Nevada by him from New York. I looked it over and did not find any rust so believe it is basically a rust free Nevada car with the normal parking lot dings, sun faded paint, some apohlstery wear and tear, but whole and straight and just begging to be someones project. I have a whole slew of pictures I can e-mail to you if interested - just ask at amcowner@charter.net  - she is asking best offer. I was able to air all tires up (after the pictures were taken) so it would be able to be rolled onto a trailer or winched onto a car carrier for transport. It has been sitting for approximately 16 years without being started - the battery is definately dead and I have not tried to start it - should be carefully preped for starting after sitting for so long to prevent scarring up the cylinder walls incase the oil has drained away from them to keep the rings from scratching - a little tranny fluid inserted into each spark plug hole and let it sit for a few days should help but I have not done that yet - it is over an hour away from me and other than taking the pictures and airing up the tires I have not had a chance to mess with it further for her.  Original Motor and tranny out of my 68 American. 29K original miles, 199 auto. Runs like brand new, oil changed maybe 40 miles ago. Complete from air cleaner down. The carb is a holley with electric choke that has very little run time on it. It runs absolutely perfect and looks like new. 1970 AMC Rebel 2 Door Hardtop 53,950 actual miles. This is some what of rare car I attended the big AMC meet in Kenosha and there were 24 Rebel Machines in attendance and only my 70 Rebel hard top. If you have a rusty machine this is a perfect car to get to bring yours to the next level. I have a reasonable reserve on this car and what I believe a reasonable BUY-IT-NOW price. The car is 97% rust free floors fenders quarters frame rails and trunk is in very nice shape. Up for sale is my 1970 AMC Rebel 2 door Hardtop 304 automatic, manual brakes, power steering. While I have owned the car I have replaced all 4 wheel cylinders, hard ware and brake shoes all 4 corners. I replaced master cylinder, new tires, new upper ball joints, fuel pump, new hoses, and belts, a new rebuilt carburetor and new transmission mount. The front end is tight and goes down the road straight. I installed a black vinyl top correct material and correct seams. The car was originally a 2 tone yellow top green bottom. I did not like the color so I had an upholstery shop install a vinyl top. This car came out of Arkansas in 1996 stored indoors since so it is super clean there are 2 very minor spots only on the doors of the car. There in the same place on both doors the weep holes got plugged with dirt and when rain got in the doors it retained water. I pulled all of the chrome molding and clips and rear window out of the car and there was no rust or holes that usually show up in the 2 corners of the of the rear window. I polished the window chrome and purchased new retaining clips and had them installed. The chrome on the car is in very good shape not pitted or dented. The does need window sweeps they are not in the greatest shape I am looking for them but not located them as of yet. All windows roll up and down with out any issues. The car is a pleasure to drive and to take to shows. The underside of the car is beautiful no rust anywhere frame rails floor boards inner rockers fenders same with the trunk. All lights work interior lights courtesy under dash lights. The original bench front and rear seat is like the day it left Kenosha. It has a rubber floor mat no carpet. There are 2 small cracks on the dash of the car. The headliner is starting to separate from the fiber board. The chrome mirrors are in good shape. The trunk is in great shape still showing the original spatter paint from the factory. The trunk mat needs to be replaced. The car is missing the correct horn button for a non SST car so I installed a horn button from a 67 rebel. The steering wheel is free of cracks it is very nice shape. There are some very minor scratches and minor dings in the car but not bad for a 37 yr old car. The car is sold as is and as shown it has a clear Wisconsin title I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country tomorrow. This is a great driver and a great car it only needs a paint job to bring it over the top. I am sure I missed something if you have any questions ask them and I will get back to you with the answer. The tank is not bad not leaking just needs to be pulled and cleaned. It usually takes 7 business days to clean coat and reinstall. I do have some NOS parts and some used parts I have purchased that will go with the car once the reserve price is met. The car does not leak fluids all gauges work the gas gauge is finicky some times bumpers are clean and straight. For Sale- 1967 AMC Rebel SST 2 dr Convertible. Just bought this on Ebay a couple months ago..still have the sellers info and pics. I thought it was farther along in the resto area. I tuned the motor..new plugs, points,condenser, wires, set timing so it actually does run pretty good. Motor is a '72 304 (from a matador?) auto trans on tree..I put in a new gas tank. Gas gauge doesn't register so float I think is bad and I am having a new top put on it as we speak. Paid $6500 but with shipping. tune up, tamk, and top, I have quickly dropped another $2k into it. Hello, i have a AMC engine for sale. I'm sure most of you no back in the day if you blew up your engine you went to your amc dealer for a replacement block. On those blocks they did not cast size numbers 290,360,39o,401.On this block the numbers are 3198951 that says it's a 401.The heads are the very desirable 3196291-C. To confrim this info go to production/tech in this web site. The engine has a 4 barrel intake and carb on it, distributor ,water pump, i did use the push rods for a different engine beside that it's complete. Original black/charcoal seats out of a 69 Javelin. The fronts need recovering but are in good shape otherwise. One has the tracks, the other does not. The back seat has a couple minor flaws, most of which are hidden when installed. Due to size I would prefer not to ship, but may be able to work something out. 68 Rambler American 220 Sedan. I bought this car new for about $2200. It was built with the 225 hp 290 V-8, Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed, and positraction 3.15 rear axle. The only other option was the AM radio. Dark green exterior with a black and white interior. It had nicer reclining seats and black carpeting, rare in this model. I had the dealer add dual exhausts from a Javelin. In 1973, a mechanic screwed up the rear axle, and I had to replace it with a regular 3:15 axle. I kept it until 1975, when I sold it back to the dealer's son. He kept it for many years, then resold it to me. It needs much help now, and I just don't have the time, money, or desire to restore it. It has just been sitting in my back yard for at least 10 years. At one time, I cranked the engine over, and changed the oil and filter, but I haven't really done much else to it. 20 year collection being liquidated. Family operation changing directions. Most of this stuff has been in wharehouses since 87 or so, so most is very nice, high quality. Lot's of great parts left. 1968 AMX 390 with original chrome valve covers and tag. Auto, twin grip, disc brakes,power steering engine rebuilt 20,000 miles ago and front end also rebuilt, new seats and carpet. No rust in floors or rockers only rust is on the rear qtrs behind the rear tires.
