It will not fit amx and javelin which had long cable. Google 'amc mirrors' for a big file off my site about what fits what with amc, good luck in auction, eddie stakes" Reply: "...if you dont agree with the listing discription, feel free Not to bid. If you dont have a specific QUESTION bout this item, and instead are using it to police ebay auctions and harrass sellers for what you feel is right or wrong listings according to you - then this is considered a serious mis-use of the ebay message system and before you continue, maybe you should check the ebay rules and regs, as such things can and will be subject to ebay disiplinary action, especially against long standing power sellers to whom you have no interaction with what so ever.. to say nothing of the fact your message included all your personal information..some people may take your unsolicited, know it all message as rude, intrusive and disruptive without authority or cause to be so....but thank you anyway for your words of wisdom. Ebay has changed feedback (2008) to where seller's CAN'T leave negative feedbacks for assholes like above who truly deserve it when they bid, then refuse to pay. Granted, it is one thing to die, or be hospitalized, or hell, even forget, but to forget your xanax and go off not wanting to pay for a uh, $9 photo because that same $9 can buy you a Heineken at tiddie bar, or two chili dogs at 7-11 is another. So seller's have to simply file dispute, then ebay gives buyers a 'no pay strike'. That is incentive for people wto walk away from auctions where sellers....get screwed...like i did with this deadbeat who has a history of torpedoing auctions if you check their feedback!

So chances are you probably run across one if you have ever been on ebay. No, I'm not talking about someone selling their virginity, Jesus or Dennis Rodman on toast, or soul, or wife's stained panties, but people you deal with. This is from MSNBC about "shill bidders" which is only one of my little gripes.......

The problem I have with feedbacks is it allows assholes that will 'buy' 50 cent stink bombs, maybe thousands of them, and suddenly they have a "1000+ positive feedback" rating! But you might have some poor soul selling 401 pistons at $500 a pop, and sells 10 sets a year, and his miserable feedback is 10+.

I have something like a 5000+ positive feedback rating myself. But who cares? I have been around since Al Gore 'invented' the Internet between scenes of him filming Ryan's Song. Sniff, sniff. So I have been selling shit well over a decade before ebay was invented.

But like everything in life, there are ASSHOLES out there who DON'T GET IT. Yes, you have ASSHOLES who have 5000+ "positive" feedback ratings. They are still ASSHOLES, who to everyone else is but mere mortals. There are ASSHOLES who live in a trailer park collecting Chihuahuas and parrots and old Corona bottles. They have never bothered to update their personal checks and mailing information. This is probably what pisses my off the most. If you get pulled over with a outdated address on your drivers license, it is a $170 fine in Houston, so why in the hell would you not take time to change your information on a check, even after a year? And then there are the 'retaliatory feebacks' when some ASSHOLE thinks that they have a year to pay for something they bought.

Many auctions show a time frame to pay, some as short as 7-10 days, some 14 days (like me) and others a month. Few are a month however, most just want to get the item out of there. Still, you have ASSHOLES who bid drunk, or don't remember, or use excuses like "I already paypalled you" when it states in the auction no paypal. So the excuses are the worst.

So with that in mind, I want to let people know that a staggering 98% of the transactions I have had on ebay are positive experiences and many people I buy from over and over, others same with me. I always give people benefit of the doubt, my 'end of auction notices' state that they have 14 days to pay from end of auction. If they are overseas, no problem they have a month to pay. But US & Canada have 14 days, a good time frame, especially if they were serious about buying something from me off ebay. Remember, some sellers want immediate credit card or paypal, and others give 7 days to pay....before it is relisted!

I decided to post this here on my website after three ASSHOLES, who should not even be on ebay, pissed me off.
And that is not easy to do. But I wanted to show how ASSHOLES can open their own little room, and be ASSHOLES in front of a whole larger crowd, manipulating ebay's rules, and never wanting to accept blame for their own inability, or actions, on ebay. Like Clinton shaking his finger at the world saying he never had sex with Shamu, these EBAY ASSHOLES are in same boat...not willing to accept responsibility for their own actions.

So hold your nose, and if this helps anyone out there in ebayland one way or another, then it was worth it to put this up.

This asshole bought a pair of Rambler turn signal lenses from me for $9, shipping was $3.95, he paid with a personal check. However...on the check....it WAS A YEAR OLD ADDRESS..and me not being a damned physic like Madame Cleo, sent it to this address. It came back. EBAY ASSHOLE PATRICK HOWELL decides it is not his fault he is using year old checks with ancient information. In a fit of Rambler Mentality, he refuses to send me $4 MORE to remail him his package. But he also instantly runs to ebay, thinking I am ripping him off. I drop bigger stools full of corn and peanuts than Patrick, but I flush them.

I tried to make things right, as this was not my fault, he should have CURRENT information on everything he has...including something important like a personal check! So this is how it went, my diplomacy went nowhere and I ended up with a negative, and a little angray ebay ASSHOLE who refused to admit his mistake. A year old mistake at that! This is the meager $9 lenses. This is the shipping information I sent him showing I had indeed sent it; and this is the USPS returned box, because EBAY ASSHOLE Patrick Howell is too lazy to change/update his information on his personal checks after a year!

This was the address on the personal check, and therefore, the address I sent the items you bought, to. Not trying to screw anyone, simply following instructions as have done the past 23 years. If someone sends me a personal check, unless on the order form there is a different address to ship to, the item gets shipped to the address on the check. I can't be held accountable,
nor liable, if someone dose not keep their mailing address current. For instance, if you would get pulled over by Houston Police and have not changed your drivers license information, that is a $170 fine. to keep their info current, especially if they are buying/selling, on ebay. This includes credit cards

So when I won this and got it, not same. So this is the 4 1/2 month odyssey to get a refund.....for $42.50....without putting a homeless person back out on the street.

behalf of my attorney.

She advised me to send you this ONE warning, and if no reply, she will go
ahead and file on my behalf on August 1st, 2005, theft charges. That is
really sad, as while it will cost me more money to file, that is not a
concern. What is a concern however, is that you ripped me off, so I am
acting on principal, nothing more.

My attorney, who is a real bitch, said she would be happy to file theft charges against this asshole in hiding. However, before I had to spend $30 to do that, I got this.....which was the FIRST COMMUNICATION this EBAY ASSHOLE had replied to in months!

Hi Eldon, I understand about family matters, believe me, however, this has
drug on too long and you have not replied to me, or ebay's requests. There
is also a ceitified letter with same headed your way. Disregard it only if
you plan on giving me back my refund of $42 before August 10th, 2005. No,
I'm not going to die over it, however, last Saturday I was diagnosed with
diabetes and uniary tract infection, so have been on antibiotics and well,
have to change a lot of things being diabetic now. And not having insurance
hits hard on a limited budget, especially raising two small boys, 3, and 2.
I had to pay for my antibiotics (and doctor bill, which was $290) but the
antibiotics alone were $45. So ever penny counts. I do not think I own the
world and have always given people the benefit of the doubt until they
either screw me, or attempt to screw me. Your failure to communicate over
this matter is the sole problem. The world don't stop on your end just for a
family matter. Just like it has not stopped on this end for my family matter
mentioned above. The bills will continue to come, mortgage payment, taxes,
you name it, and you have to pay them as they arrive. Same deal with this
ebay transaction. I sent you a money order in a quick, timely fashion, for a
item that was misrepresented by you, in a public forum. I informed you that
I could not use it, and it was not same as shown, or mentioned in ebay
auction. I sent it back expecting you to send me my refund in same fashion I
sent original payment. You have not. Real simple. And not having the simple
courtesy to call, or email, indicating a problem makes me feel you have no
intention of refunding my money, so I go take appropiate legal action if my
money is not refunded. Texas awards triple damages, plus court costs in
instances such as this, so your refusal, or promises of a refund, that has
not been sent, and should have been sent well over a month ago, for $42,
would end up costing you well over $250. That ain't right, and you have a
really easy chance to make it right, providing you get off your duff and
mail me a money order for $42. That is 19 days from now, which is the
deadline of August 10th. Roughly $2.21 per day if math, or saving money, is
a problem.

Thank you for promotly taking care of this matter.

And then I wrote him this:

Hi received your letter today, and will deposit the check in my account on
Friday as per your request. Next week, once the check clears, I will also
leave you positive feedback. My apologies for the previous letters, but as
mentioned earlier, a line of communication can go a long way, especially in
a public domain such as ebay. I realize you made a honest mistake by not
checking the lens inside the box to begin with, and I promptly sent it back
in good faith once I realized it was not what I bought. Between the time of
the auction original ending date of April 7th, to today when I got the
refund, 114 days have passed. I guess another way to put it would be
ignoring the problem won't make it go away.

There are a lot of people who take their ebay feedbacks really seriously,
while others do not. I'm in the middle as ebay is a fraction of my sales.
But I also promptly also try to make things right if something goes awry too
if by chance.

So my apologies for the miscommunication also.

Case closed.....finally.......after a staggering 112 days! However, while this fellow did eventually refund my money (it still costs me $10; $5 for him initially to send wrong lens, and $5 for me to ship it back) something I mentioned way up above is noteworthy here. And that is the misleading feedbacks one can pile up with buying 50 cent things and $1 NASCARS on ebay. This is a classic case:

If any of his ebay transactions are current, he has a 299 positive feedback as I write. But look at the feedbacks, it is all $1 cars, sort of like buying votes in a third world country:

There aren't too many things that piss me off more then someone scamming an unsuspecting person out of money. This is occurring right now on eBay. It started a while ago with one asshole selling a 'Timing Advance Kit' and a 'Cooling System Mod'. Today, there's a bunch of assholes getting into the act... all scamming people.

The claims are total lies. You will NOT get anywhere near 20hp from these modifications, as the ads claim. These seller are con-artists looking to make money off of people's ignorance. One seller in particular has sold hundreds of these kits and has made thousands of dollars off people by selling JUNK. The kits consist of 50¢ worth of parts and he sells them under erroneous claims for anywhere from $20 to $70.

Do not get conned by these people and do not buy any of this junk.

The Scam
The scams are all basically the same...

The Ad
If you read through the ads that they post, you'll notice that they all read basically the same. Here I'll focus on the 'Timing Advance Kit'... this kit consists of a resistor... that's it. By installing the resistor between the ECU and the air temperature sensor, the ECU will be tricked into thinking the air temperature is lower then it actually is. As a result, the ECU advances the timing and leans out the air/fuel ratio. This could possibly yield one or two horsepower at best, but certainly nowhere near the claim of 20hp. The following is one of the ads posted by a scam seller... I'll break it down line-by-line.

You are bidding on a timing advance modification kit for all models of [name of car].

This line should actually read '...modification kit for all cars.'. This is because the 'kit' is identical for every car.

This do-it-yourself kit takes no knowledge of cars and is extremely easy to install. This kit requires detailed insrtuctions with pictures and the wire and mod kit to hook into your engine. This will tap into your engines computer and tell it that cooler air is entering the car, which results in more horsepower (up to 20 more!) and more torque and better acceleration.

Tap into your engine's computer? This makes the 'kit' seem more intricate then it actually is... actually it's closer to a lie then a dramatization. All it does is trick the computer by altering a signal from a sensor. The claims of up to 20 horsepower is absolutely ridiculous.

This is exactly what those expensive chips do...for a fraction of the cost.

First, this is NOT exactly what the 'expensive' chips do... those chips directly alter the ECU's program to modify the fuel curve and timing... this 'kit' is just a signal altering gimmick. Second, it's pretty ironic that this idiot calls the chips 'expensive' when he's the one selling 20¢ resistors for $50 each.

This will release the potential of your engine.

Wow! Not bad for a 20¢ resistor. This line shows how the seller is willing to say ANYTHING to get people to buy his junk.

Remember that car makes must limit power on engines due to legal regulations. This is one of those modifications that takes that legal barrier off and allows your engine to breathe and go faster than before...it is 100% safe for your car, and can be removed anytime (if you are worried about your warranty) without any damage! It's that simple!

Advancing the timing can cause idle problems as well as engine detonation. Not exact 100% safe, but this guy couldn't care less if your entire car blew up.

This is great for stock or modified [name of car]'s, and it will give you that extra boost that you'll feel when you beat that other guy you're racing.

Holy crap! The bullshit is piling sky-high.

This is similar to nascar and formula one racing cars techniques on the track...watch your quarter mile times increase.

This line was added by the seller in order to guarantee his place in hell.

You don't need any tools to install it and you can do it in your driveway in less than 5 minutes! I did this mod to my car as well, trust me, you can feel the difference when you hit the gas...shipping is $3.00 in the U.S. and I accept money order, personal check, and PayPal. There is NO RESERVE! Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Of course it takes less then 5 minutes to install... it's a RESISTOR! $3 shipping is the second part of his scam. How much do you really think it costs to ship a resistor through the mail? Drop it in an envelope and place a 34¢ stamp on it. Lastly, he lets everyone know that there's no reserve price on the auction... that's because if he sells the 'kit' for the opening price of $1, he makes a $3.50 profit between the resistor and shipping.

The Common Link
The common link between all sellers is blatantly obvious.

Trusting people is not a flaw. These sellers are taking taking people's trust, twisting it, and using it against them to steal their money.
